Greg Vinkler

Greg is delighted to have played a part in Peninsula Players’ wonderful history for 20 years. In that time he has directed 20 productions and acted in a great many more, including last season’s Be My Baby and Little Shop of Horrors. For his work with the Players, he was honored with the inaugural Door County Artist of the Year Award. Greg performs extensively in Chicago, appearing at Chicago Shakespeare (32 productions – most recently The Comedy of Errors and Othello), Goodman, Steppenwolf, Writer's, Northlight, Marriott Lincolnshire and Victory Gardens.  He has received three Joseph Jefferson Awards (and been nominated 12 times), two Artisan Awards, and an After Dark Award. He has performed at the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon, England, playing Falstaff in the two parts of Henry IV for Chicago Shakespeare Theater. He has also performed at Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Vienna's English Theatre, Singapore Repertory, and London's Barbican Theatre.
