Todd Schmidt

Executive Producer

Todd celebrates his 15th season as a Peninsula Player.  In addition to his duties as Executive Producer, Todd has directed many Players’ productions including; CabaretInto the WoodsProof, The ForeignerThe Cherry Orchard, Art, and this season’s production of Doubt.  Over the winter he directed The Price by Arthur Miller for Shattered Globe Theatre in Chicago.  Todd directed and co-produced St. Nicholas by Conor McPherson at Victory Gardens and The Woman in Black, which was nominated for a Joseph Jefferson Award for best production.  He is president of the Council of Resident Summer Theatres and an active member of the Peninsula Arts and Humanities Alliance and Theatre Wisconsin.  Todd holds an MFA degree in directing from the Goodman School of Drama, DePaul University and a BA from Auburn University, Alabama.  He has been on the faculty of Loyola University-Chicago, directed for Oakland University in Detroit, and has worked with Chicago Shakespeare Theatre and Apple Tree Theatre.
